Steel decking sheets are cold-formed corrugated steel sheets which are supported by joints and beams. It is most commonly used to support concrete or the insulating membrane of a roof and was initially developed to provide a structurally efficient basis for roof and floor systems. One characteristic of it is that the sheets reduce the concentrated loading effect of roofing on the structures by properly distributing the load. The design and fabrication have enabled it to be of high strength and efficient costs.
